What is your money blueprint like?
Have you ever heard of people who have suddenly come into loads of money only to lose it within weeks? I personally know of people who have won lottery, 4-D and then lose it back to the respective gambling companies again within months.
Then there are also people who EPF is constantly talking about – people who withdraw their savings at 55 years old and spend all within 3 years. I always wondered why this was the case.
According to T. Harv Eker, this is because there is a flaw in their money blueprint. Your money blueprint is simply how you are internally programmed to handle money. Just like how a high rise building or an aircraft is built, a blueprint is needed so that we know what the internal structures are like.
And this is where the scary part is, this blueprint is ingrained in you since you were born, well almost. The way our parents handled money, the type of conversations our family had about money as well as the way we were taught to think about money all affects us!
So if you grew up with people telling you money is the root of all evil, then that is how it will be to you. If someone told you that having money is good, then that will be how it is to you. It has something to do with how your subconscious mind has already absorbed what you have been told and how you would keep it for the years to come and (gasp!) practise it!
And so what do we do now? Well, for one, get T. Harv Eker’s Secret of the Millionaire Mind. It not only talks about your money blueprint, it also talks about 17 ways rich people think and act differently from poor and middle class people.
I will post more about these 17 ways so that we can all benefit from this.
Meanwhile, what do you think your money blueprint is like?

Money is not evil as long as you obtain it legally, of course.
We have to plan for our retirement and not just rely entirely on our EPF account (if any).

Peter – Yes, money is a good thing indeed if you can manage it well. Retirement planning is so critical but sadly, not many are actually planning for it!
Let’s not add to the statistics!
