Petrol price

I had a taste of pumping in the RON 95 fuel yesterday after its price change last week.

After driving a few kilometres, I cannot help but feel that my car is not as powerful as before. Now, this coming from me can only be alarming because I usually cannot feel these things. Most of the time, I will just drive until some light comes on on my dashboard or if the engine cannot start.

But today, I really felt that my car has significantly decreased in performance. I am not sure if it is because I am conscious about it or it is real. I am silently suspecting that the fuel quality did not really change, it is just another way to position the fuel hike to us.

And then some wise kid from the Domestic Trade, Cooperative and Consumer Affairs Ministry had to open his mouth and said that all this while we have been using a fuel which is TOO POWERFUL for our cars. Makes me feel really pissed when I read this.

Why didn’t they just come outright and say “Hey, guess what, we will increase the price again” instead of going all out saying they have upgraded and phased out certain fuel etc.

And so, my financials will be hampered after all. I initially thought I can maintain the same levels, looks like now I will have to pump RON 97 and it will cost me about RM10 more every time!!
