Citibank has Globeshopper
Are you an ardent fan of online shopping, specifically from US?
I know that Citibank has recently gotten a partnership with Globeshopper and it enables you to ship your purchases back to Malaysia at discounted shipping rates! Click here to see it.
Registering is free, but you have to be a Citibank card member. Upon signing up with Globeshopper, you will be given a US address. All your purchases will be held here until you have completed your shopping. What’s more, you can consolidate your purchases up to 30 days and then have them shipped in one shipping. This is where your saving is.
There are apparently over 300,000 online shopping stores for you to choose from. They even provide you with the top recommended stores to start off with. I checked some of them out and there are those which you cannot get here like target.com and Pottery Barn. There is a list of others of course, but I was more interested in these 2.
Also, your goods are delivered by DHL, so you can sort of be assured that you will be receiving your package in whole.
One thing though, you have to ensure that your purchases plus the shipping costs has to be lesser than what you would normally pay for something that looks-like-it locally. Else, you will not be enjoying the savings.
